Massive Concrete Swastika Found Under German Soccer Field
Construction workers in Hamburg unearthed a massive concrete swastika under a soccer field Tuesday, Fox News reported.
The 13-foot-by-13-foot swastika was buried more than a foot underneath where a local soccer club is planning to build locker rooms.
Local officials made a quick decision to bust up the swastika using jackhammers and move it from the field.
It is not totally clear why the swastika was in the ground, but local officials said there used to be a monument on the swastika that was torn down decades ago.
In the meantime, “sports activities will continue as normal,” the club’s chairman said.
