Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin Is Living His Best Life
At this time last year, Steven Mnuchin was best known as the producer of critically reviled films like “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad.” But now, he’s in the money — literally.
Mnuchin, now the Treasury Secretary, toured the Bureau of Engraving and Printing on Wednesday along with his wife Louise Linton and several Trump administration officials, including presidential adviser/son-in-law Jared Kushner. While there, Mnuchin inspected new $1 bills that will bear his signature. Those bills are expected to go into circulation in December.
Mnuchin’s John Hancock will presumably be more legible that that of former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, who was widely mocked for his scribbly signature.
Mnuchin himself was criticized earlier this year for using a government plane to fly with Linton to see the solar eclipse. (Linton then argued with a commenter on Instagram over whether her trip was appropriate.)
