Gloria Allred: Roy Moore Sexually Assaulted My Client When She Was A Minor
Prominent lawyer Gloria Allred will hold a press conference later today with a woman who says she was sexually assaulted as a minor by Roy Moore, the Republican nominee in the upcoming Senate special election in Alabama.
Moore has been accused of having physical relations with teenagers when he was in his 30s. One woman told The Washington Post that Moore touched her genitals when she was only 14 years old.
Allred’s press conference will take place in New York at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
Allred is known for defending clients who allege that powerful men have sexually harassed or assaulted women. She also represents Summer Zervos, who alleges that President Trump groped her when she was a contestant on “The Apprentice.”
Allred recently publicly criticized her daughter, Lisa Bloom, for defending Harvey Weinstein and orchestrating his public response to allegations of sexual assault. Bloom later resigned from representing Weinstein.
The election in Alabama will take place on December 12. Many Republican senators have urged Moore to drop out of the race, but he has refused to do so, denying the claims against him.
