Child Molester Cites ‘Lenient’ Anthony Weiner Sentence In Plea

A convicted child molester facing a new prison sentence over child pornography charges cited disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner in a plea for leniency from a Seattle court this week.
Prosecutors are demanding a 13-year sentence for Douglas Blouin for downloading child pornography, according to a report by KOMONews. Blouin was convicted of child molestation in 1997 and sentenced to seven years in prison.
In his leniency plea, Blouin’s lawyer asked for six years for his client, citing Weiner’s sentence as a similar example of leniency. “Congressman Anthony Weiner was recently sentenced to 21 months in custody after he convinced a 15-year-old to produce child pornography,” the attorney wrote, according to KOMO.
Weiner, who reported to prison earlier this week, will serve 21 months after pleading guilty to sexting with a 15-year-old girl.
