Get Ready, Israel: The Mooch Is Coming
Anthony Scaramucci, the colorful businessman who lasted 10 days as White House communications director before being fired, will soon head to Israel on an investment mission.
Scaramucci, who came to politics from the world of Wall Street finance, will be a guest of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce. The “executive VIP” trip to Israel is expected to include other top business leaders as well.
“I couldn’t be more excited to see for myself how this ‘miracle in the desert’ continues to flourish, lead and innovate,” Scaramucci said in a statement. “My investments are all about belief in markets and Israel is one of the most compelling markets in the world. ” He called Israel “a beacon of democracy, an incubator for innovation.”
Scaramucci was brought into the Trump White House in July, but was quickly shown the door after giving an interview in which he used profanity when discussing fellow Trump advisers.
Scaramucci recently came under fire after posting an online quiz about the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust. He later apologized for the post and pledged to donate $25,000 to the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
