Catholic High School Girls Caught Playing Swastika Beer Pong

A group of students at a Catholic high school in Missouri have been suspended for playing beer pong with cups arranged in the shape of a swastika, the Kansas City Star reported. The students, from the all-girls St. Theresa’s Academy in Kansas City, were caught after pictures of their game were posted to Snapchat.
“Girls [sic] night!” the caption read.
Alumni told 41 Action News that the offending students only received an in-school suspension, and were forced to write to their chosen colleges describing the incident.
Alumni of the school are calling for the expulsion of the offending students. In a Facebook post, the president of the school, Nan Bone, called that “the wrong solution in this situation.”
“We live the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph,” Bone wrote. “Our students are taught to care for the dear neighbor, ‘neighbor to neighbor, without distinction.’ That teaching guides us in every decision we make.”
