Huma Abedin Cried To Hillary Over Weiner’s Role In October Surprise Email Probe
Huma Abedin was brought to tears by the heavy blow that her husband Anthony Weiner’s sexting caused Hillary Clinton’s campaign in the final days of the presidential race, according to a soon-to-be-released memoir from the former Democratic nominee and secretary of state.
“This man is going to be the death of me,” Abedin exclaimed about Weiner, Clinton writes in “What Happened,” as per a leaked copy obtained by Radar Online. “Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” Clinton added. “And now this.”
Weiner, an ex-congressman who resigned over a sexting scandal, helped sink Clinton’s campaign in the days leading up to the November election. While the FBI searched a computer that Abedin and Weiner shared, the agency turned up e-mails sent to Abedin from Clinton.
That spurred the FBI to temporarily reopen its investigation into a private server that Clinton had used, a scalding development in the closing week of the campaign. Weiner was being investigated for alleged illicit exchanges with a North Carolina teenager.
Abedin is divorcing Weiner after the last of three sexting scandal rounds. She has been a top aide to Hillary Clinton for years.
