Right-Wing Author Smears Soros — Says He Could Be Tried For ‘Nazi’ Crimes

Dinesh D’Souza, the far-right commentator and convicted felon, tweeted this morning that it would be “interesting” if billionaire George Soros were “tried for his complicity in Nazi atrocities against Jews.”

Soros, who is Jewish, was a child during the Nazi occupation of his native Hungary. A major donor to progressive causes worldwide, Soros has long been a target for the right. When Glenn Beck accused him in 2010 of having collaborated with the Nazis, the Anti-Defamation League described Beck’s statements as “horrific.”

D’Souza, who pleaded guilty to a campaign finance law violation in 2014, is promoting a book called “The Big Lie” that claims to expose “the Nazi roots of the American left.”
