Jared And Ivanka Vacationed In Vermont As Trump Lost It

When President Trump blamed on Tuesday “both sides” for the weekend violence in Charlottesville, son-in-law Jared Kushner and daughter Ivanka Trump were far from the Midtown precincts of Trump Tower, vacationing instead in Vermont.

The princeling couple were on a mid-August retreat, the New York Times reported, when the president gave his press conference for the ages.

This has happened before. When the president issued his “Muslim ban” executive order a week into his presidency, the two were off-the-grid for Shabbat. In March, as the administration suffered its first of humiliating Obamacare repeal setbacks, the two were on a skiing trip in the West.

While Kushner and Trump weren’t in New York, they did advise the president to moderate his tone on Charlottesville, urging him to denounce neo-Nazis and white supremacists, as Ivanka Trump did in a Saturday Twitter post.
