Michael Cohen Reportedly Sidelined In Trump Circle

Michael Cohen, a longtime attorney for the Trump Organization, has apparently lost his spot in the president’s inner circle after being a cable attack-dog for much of the presidential race.

According to a report in The New York Times, Cohen expected to be offered a top position in the administration (he was not), and saw Trump last week for the first time in several months. Cohen is also said to be under investigation in connection with the Russia inquiry.

Cohen told The Times that Trump’s ascension to the White House has changed his own life. “Clearly my life has changed since Trump became POTUS and I accepted the role as personal attorney to the president,” Cohen told the newspaper. “This change has come with both many pros and cons.”

The Times story included tidbits about the backstory to the relationship between Trump and Cohen. Cohen has apparently convinced numerous family members to purchase apartments in Trump buildings, and he once helped Trump overcome a fight with a condo board in a building near the United Nations.
