Daniel Radcliffe Almost Dies Thrice In Trailer For New Movie

The trailer for Harry Potter’s – I mean, Daniel Radcliffe’s – new movie “Jungle” dropped on Tuesday and it looks good, if you’re into watching what looks like a series of near-death experiences.

Radcliffe plays an Israeli backpacker who gets lost in the Amazon in the film, directed by Greg McLean. He almost dies roughly three times in the film’s trailer – once at the hands of a snake, once by quicksand, and once when he falls out of his boat ‘pon a raging river.

It’s hard to feel bad for human beings weathering the consequences of their choice to vacation in the Amazon so it’s good that this film doesn’t appear to ask for our empathy. Instead, the trailer seems to be intent upon imparting one simple message: Reconsider your decision to vacation in the Amazon.

The film is based on the true story of Yossi Ghinsberg who – you guessed it – almost lost his life in the Amazon. It premieres on August 3rd. You can check out the full trailer below but proceed with caution if you suffer from high blood pressure.
