Billionaire David Bonderman Quits Uber Board After Women Do ‘More Talking’ Quip
Billionaire David Bonderman quit Uber’s board after saying women officials do “more talking” at a meeting about sexual harassment.
The mogul interrupted colleague Arianna Huffington who was discussing the benefits of having more women on the board.
“Actually what it shows is, it’s much likely there’ll be more talking,” ,” Bonderman said, according to the Washington Post.
A few awkward chuckles greeted the remark — and Huffington correctly predicted Bonderman would have some explaining to do.
“Don’t worry, David will have a lot of talking to do, as well,” she said.
Bonderman later resigned, saying he didn’t want to be a distraction from other issues at the global ride-hailing leader.
