Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer took another opportunity to needle President Trump on Monday, tweeting out a spoof of Trump’s first full Cabinet meeting, where officials battled to lavish praise on the embattled leader.
The meeting largely consisted of high-level government officials sucking up to the president as Trump looked on in silent approval, a turn of events that led CNN to call it “the weirdest Cabinet meeting ever.”
“”I want to thank you for getting this country moving again, and working again,” said Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao.
“Mr. President, what an incredible honor it is to lead the Department of Health and Human Services at this time under your leadership,” added HHS Secretary Tom Price.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, whose job has reportedly been in jeopardy for some time, was perhaps most effusive of all: “On behalf of the entire senior staff around you, Mr. President, we thank you for the opportunity and the blessing that you’ve given us to serve your agenda and the American people,” he said.

Schumer and his staff released a video a few hours later echoing the Cabinet’s statements before collapsing into a fit of laughter.
