Geraldo Rivera Beats The Drum For Seth Rich Conspiracy Theory

Geraldo Rivera has embraced conspiracy theories about the death of Seth Rich, becoming the second Fox News personality after Sean Hannity to push fake news about the ex-Democratic National Committee staffer’s death.

After false reports that e-mails from WikiLeaks were found on Rich’s server, Hannity began pushing the idea that Rich could have been killed as plot to protect Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. Rich’s parents – who have appealed to the public to help solve his murder – have denounced the conspiracy.

Rivera, who anchors the channel’s “Geraldo at Large” program, gave the conspiracy theory some life with his tweet, but many at Fox are angry at the coverage.

In a Daily Beast report, unidentified staffers at the network fumed about Hannity’s attention to the matter. “ARE WE STILL AIRING THAT S***?!” one told the Web site. “It’s just gross,” another added.
