Joe Lieberman, FBI Candidate, Works For Trump’s Law Firm

Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential nominee turned independent Connecticut senator, seems like the furthest thing from a Donald Trump fan.
Now on the shortlist to be the next FBI director, Lieberman has nonetheless worked
for the Trump-linked law firm of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres and Friedman since leaving the Senate.
The legal group has represented President Trump in disputes going back decades to his time as a New York real estate magnate. David Friedman, currently the ambassador to Israel, works at the firm as a partner.
Lieberman endorsed Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but has spoken warmly at times since the November election.
He also spoke in favor of two of the president’s nominees, appearing at the confirmation hearings for Friedman and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
Trump is interviewing three other candidates for FBI director, besides Lieberman –former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating, acting director Andrew McCabe and ex-FBi brass Richard McFeeley.
