Sarsour Rejects Support Of ‘Greedy Jewish Landlords’ City Council Candidate
In a series of tweets, activist Linda Sarsour rejected offers of support from Thomas Lopez-Pierre, the fringe New York City Council candidate who has drawn outsized media attention with attacks on “greedy Jewish landlords.”
Sarsour, who is fighting off an effort by New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind to force the City University of New York to disinvite her from addressing an upcoming commencement ceremony, called Lopez-Pierre “anti-Semitic” and demanded that he not use her as part of his campaign.
.@VoteLopezPierre do not use me as part of your campaign. I don’t align with you. Your messaging is anti-Semitic.

Sarsour was responding to tweets from Lopez-Pierre in which he used her image and seemed to suggest he had her support. He later wrote that he planned to ask for her endorsement.
“I don’t know him nor wanna know him,” Sarsour wrote.
