Meet Nicole Kushner, Jared’s Visa-Hawking Sister

Nicole Kushner – the sister of Jared Kushner – was mostly on the sidelines until this week, when her attempt to raise real estate capital in China raised concerns about corruption and self-dealing. It’s a first for her – before now her brother Joshua and father Charles have gotten more attention as relatives of Jared.
So what do we know about her? According to the Real Deal, she’s either 33 or 34 years old – the third child of parents Charles and Seryl Kushner. After receiving a master’s degree in urban planning from New York University, she worked in fashion at Ralph Lauren before joining the family business two years ago.
Nicole is married to hedge funder Joseph Meyer, and two live in a luxe apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He also serves as chief executive office of Observer Media, the parent company of the New York Observer, the independent weekly that Kushner owns.
According to the Washington Post, Nicole Kushner told Chinese investors that forking over money to finance the family’s new Jersey City apartment complex would help them get American visas, under the EB-5 program – an initiative that gives priority status to individuals who give $500,000 or more in capital to American businesses. She also was said to show a PowerPoint presentation that touted her family ties to the Trump White House.
