Did Jared Kushner Call Sebastian Gorka A ‘Clown’?
Sebastian Gorka was apparently saved from getting the axe as a White House aide through the personal intervention of President Trump and chief strategist Steve Bannon.
“[Bannon] put a stop to it — he’s loyal and a friend’s job was in danger and reputation was getting dragged through the mud,” an administration insider told the Daily Beast.
“The president really likes him and appreciates him as a good spokesperson for the administration, but he isn’t part of the [National Security Council] policy-making process,” another West Wing staffer told the Web site.
Gorka had been under fire – and at risk of being turfed out to a non-White House executive agency – after the Forward reported on his ties to neo-Nazi groups in his native Hungary. Democrats in the Congress have also called for his removal from office.
Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, is apparently displeased with the turn of events. According to the Daily Beast, Kushner has referred to Gorka as a “clown.”
