Jon Ossoff Pops The Question To Long-Time Girlfriend As Runoff Nears
A “mazel tov” is due to Democratic rising star Jon Ossoff.
While busy campaigning for his runoff in the special elections for Georgia’s 6th congressional district, Ossoff found time to propose to his long-time girlfriend Alisha Kramer, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. Kramer, a medical student at Emory University, and Ossoff have been dating for 12 years. They met in Washington while studying at Georgetown.
The proposal was expected for a while and even became somewhat of an issue during the campaign, when Ossoff was asked point blank by a CNN interviewer “When are you going to marry her?” The candidate avoided the question, in an effort not to give away the surprise.
This is not the only good news coming Ossoff’s way.
McClatchy reported Monday that Republicans are starting to acknowledge the possibility that their candidate Karen Handel will lose to Ossoff on June 20. They are pointing to “current political environment” that has many turning against Republicans.
