Silicon Valley’s Most Ridiculous Startup Is Endorsed By Ivanka
Silicon Valley is home to many head-scratching startups, and just as many rich investors looking for ways to extend their lifespans.
Enter Juicero, a startup pitching a $400 WiFi-enabled juice squeezer. The company, which has been praised by Gwyneth Paltrow and backed with around $120 million in venture capital funding from Google and other major companies, also sells users subscriptions to buy pre-prepared fruits and vegetables.
Unfortunately, as a Bloomberg News investigation discovered, you can squeeze the juice for yourself just as well — if not better — just by using your hands.
This, of course, has led to much snark online.
