‘SNL’ Mocks Jared Kushner Over White House Battle For Trump’s Heart
Jared Kushner can’t win for losing — at least on ‘SNL’
Host Jimmy Fallon played the presidential son-in-law wearing the infamous bullet-proof vest that he wore during his trip to Iraq — and made fun of his apparently winning battle for the ear of President Trump.
In the show’s cold opening, Kushner and Steve Bannon were put in an “Apprentice”-style fight to survive a White House power struggle.
Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, ended up picking Kushner and dumping Bannon, portrayed as the Grim Reaper.
“Jared, you’re such an inspiration,” Baldwin as Trump said. “You’ve shown everybody that if you are born rich and marry my daughter, you can do anything you want.”
Trump tells Bannon to “join Kellyanne Conway the basement.” But then he adds: “You get to come back at the end of all this and help send me to prison.”
Trump then retreated to a smaller desk and played with toys in the Oval Office.
