Who Is The Florida Politician Accepting Donations From Soros Father And Son?

Florida gubernatorial hopeful Andrew Gillum is drawing big-bucks support from major Democratic donors, including Jewish billionaire George Soros and his son, Alex Soros.

Gillum is now the Democratic mayor of Tallahassee. He will face a crowded field of candidates vying for Florida’s governorship in 2018. The incumbent governor, Republican Rick Scott, is barred by term limits from running for reelection.

A campaign committee supporting Gillum has received $100,000 in recent weeks from George Soros, according to a report in the Palm Beach Post. Alex Soros gave $50,000. Other major donors to the pro-Gillum effort include Norman Lear and Jane Fonda, according to the Post’s report.

If elected, Gillum, 37, would be the first black governor of the state.
