Shia LaBeouf Movie Sells Only 3 Tickets In Britain
Add to Shia LaBeouf’s woes a box office flop. After a dismal performance in the United States, his new thriller “Man Down” managed to sell only one ticket during its first weekend screening in the United Kingdom.
Reuters reported two more moviegoers scooped tickets, raising the grand total to 3.
Shown at prestigious film festivals in Toronto and Venice, the film raked in only $450,000 during its limited release in the U.S. It stars big names in the film industry, including Gary Oldman and Kate Mara. The movie tracks the story of a veteran returning home from Afghanistan, who acclimates to civilian life while looking for his missing wife and son.
It hasn’t been a great few months for LaBeouf. Following the election, his anti-Trump performance art piece “He Will Not Divide Us” was sabotaged by right-wing activists, leading to a series of movies around the country. He was arrested when he got into a physical scuffle with a museum-goer who was protesting the display.
