Muslim School Dumps Teacher For Saying Adam and Eve Aren’t Real

A New York City private day school serving Muslim students fired a publicly-funded English teacher for saying that the biblical story of Adam and Eve is “a myth,” the New York Post reported.
Nina Kossman, a teacher with the city’s Department of Education assigned to teach English at the Razi School in Queens, was kicked out in late March, the Post reported.
According to Kossman, the school took action after she told a group of students that the story of Adam and Eve is “a myth,” and then accidentally showed them a 17th-Century painting depicting the biblical couple nude.
Kossman told the Post that a school administrator told her that parents had complained. She was reassigned to DOE facility for teachers awaiting determinations on disciplinary action.
“It’s generally understood that we should not talk about religion to students,” Kossman told the post. “I probably should have avoided talking about it.”
