Stephen Colbert took a swing at Jared Kushner last night, riffing the only White House office the presidential son-in-law is qualified to helm is the “Bureau of Obvious Nepotism.”

“Washington is a mess right now but that’s going to end soon because the White House just announced Trump’s son-in-law and the leader of the preppy camp across the lake Jared Kushner will ‘oversee a broad effort to overhaul the government,’” the Late Show host said, setting up his punch-line.
He was referring to Kushner’s appointment on Monday as the head of a new Office of American Innovation, tasked with diverse tasks like fixing health care for veterans and tackling opioid addiction.
Kushner, married to Ivanka Trump, has faced criticism from those who question whether his role as a White House senior adviser violates anti-nepotism laws. The scion of a New York real estate empire, he has also encountered skepticism about his ability to take on a broad portfolio in the government.
