Arizona Billboard Depicts Trump With Swastika Symbols

Artist Karen Fiorito is seriously committed to her anti-Trump protest:

She’s put up picture of the president, flanked by nuclear mushrooms and two symbols that combine a swastika and a dollar sign, and spread it all over a huge billboard alongside Phoenix, Arizona’s Grand Avenue.

Florito posted the sign on Friday; she says it will stay up there as long as Trump remains president. “I tried to put a little bit of humor in things that are really dark and hard to take,” Fiorito told local NBC news. She also reported receiving death threats and “a lot of hate” since the billboard went up.

Local and national media has been reporting on the Arizona billboard for the past couple of days, bystanders are slowing down to look, and neighbors are weighing in. One of them, Jeff Whiteman, told Phoenix CBS affiliate that he found the sign troubling. “I thought swastikas are very crude and violent,” He said. “We have a leader of our country and we should respect him whether we agree with him or not.”
