David Duke Allowed Back On Twitter After Brief Suspension
David Duke’s banning from Twitter turned out to be nothing more than an hours-long timeout, as the white supremacist’s social media profile was once again operational a few short hours after the platform suspended his account.
I’m back. Though I have no idea why I was suspended. Thank you to all of the wonderful people who offered support. #FreeDavidDuke

Twitter has not explained the reasoning behind its suspension and speedy reinstatement of the former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and failed politician’s account. The platform has struggled with how it monitors hate speech and sanctions those who engage in it, banning the “alt-right” founder Richard Spencer before eventually reinstating him.
Duke attributed his short-term banning to his supposed influence. “I expose the fact that Israel is an ethno-state,” he said. “We are really at war. Trump is at war,” he added. “They’re trying to make (Trump) go to jail and die in jail… They’re going to war against me, too.”
