It’s Ivanka Vs. Bannon: Will U.S. Stay In Big Paris Climate Treaty?
Is Ivanka Trump shaping out to a liberal counter-force to Steve Bannon in Trump’s White House?
After reportedly convincing her father to back off of an executive order which would allow LGBTQ discrimination, now the First Daughter is using her clout to influence the debate over climate change.
According to the New York Times, the White House is split over the future of the Paris climate agreement, with Bannon leading a drive to withdraw from the deal, while Ivanka Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are trying to convince President Trump to keep America in the international accord.
Writing in Breitbart, James Delingpole, who is close to Bannon, warned against the president’s daughter’s influence on the issue of climate change. “President Trump Must Not Wobble on Climate Change — No Matter What Ivanka Says,” Delingpole stated.
