Julia Hahn, Jewish Breitbart Reporter, Tapped for White House Post Under Steve Bannon
Julia Hahn, a Jewish journalist at Breitbart News, is reportedly being tipped for a job at the White House working for Steve Bannon, the firebrand ex-editor of the far right-wing news site.
Politico says two sources briefed on the move told it that Hahn will be hired as a special assistant to the president and will report to her old boss, who is now White House chief strategist.
She was quoted singing the praises of Bannon after others slammed him as a mouthpiece for white nationalists, anti-Semites and other members of the so-called “alt-right.”
“Steve is a fearless voice for people who have been made voiceless, and it is an honor to have worked with him,” she said in a Breitbart article.
Before joining Breitbart two years ago, Hahn worked for right-wing talk show host Laura Ingraham.
Hahn stayed on at Breitbart even as other conservative Jewish scribes left the site amid controversies over its backing of Trump during the presidential campaign.
Ben Shapiro, a prominent right-wing editor, famously quit in the aftermath of a dispute over Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski allegedly manhandled another Breitbart reporter during a campaign event.
