Berlin Lights Brandenburg Gate With Israeli Flag After Jerusalem Attack
Israel was “moved by the gesture of the Berlin Senate” on Monday, said Israel’s ambassador to Germany, Avraham Nir-Feldklein, according to Israel’s i24 News.
“We are very grateful for the support of the German government and the people, [and] for the consoling words of solidarity,” Nir-Feldklein said.
Four Israeli soldiers aged 20 to 22 were killed when a Palestinian man rammed his truck into a group of soldiers on the promenade in an eastern Jerusalem neighborhood. Two of the four fallen soldiers had American citizenship. The driver of the truck was shot dead.
