Stephen Miller Eyed as Man To Bury Obamacare With Executive Orders
As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to repeal Obamacare, he will have an assist from White House policy advisor Stephen Miller, who is said to be crafting executive orders that would help the country transition to a new health insurance model.
It’s a sign of growing influence for the Jewish aide, who served as Trump’s communications director in the campaign, writing his speech at the Republican National Convention and now penning his boss’ inaugural address. Barely in his 30s, Miller has ascended quickly through the ranks of the conservative world, first working in Senator Jeff Sessions’ office after graduating from Duke University.
Miller, who sometimes did a warmup act at the president-elect’s rallies, has a controversial record. While at Duke, he wrote a series of articles on such topics as multiculturalism, which he called “segregation” and paid family leave, which he said would cause men to lose their jobs.
Also at that time, Miller was an associate of Richard Spencer, the white nationalist who coined the term “alt-right.” Miller said he has no relationship with Spencer and repudiates his views.
