THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED US!
This event was recorded and is available to readers of the Forward.
Join former Israeli Ambassador to the US, and President of the Dan David Foundation, Itamar Rabinovich, former US Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk, past president of the Council on Foreign Relations Richard Haass, and the director of NYU’s Taub Center for Israel Studies Lihi Ben Shitrit, for an evening of expert insights and analysis of foreign policy in Israel and the Middle East.
With moderator Jodi Rudoren, editor-in-chief of the Forward and a former Jerusalem bureau chief of The New York Times, the panelists will discuss Israel from the context of the larger region, including the impact of the Arab Spring, the Abraham Accords, and recent US policy, as well as the current threats to democracy in Israel.
The conversation is timed to the recent 75th Anniversary of the country, the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, and Rabinovich’s new book, Middle Eastern Maze: Israel, The Arabs, and the Region 1948-2022, which explores the broader scope of Middle Eastern regional and international policies.
This program is part of 92NY Recanati-Kaplan Talks.
