March 25: Forward Archivist to join “The Fire of a Movement” Livestream
Forward Archivist, Chana Pollack will join the live broadcast of an episode from “The Future of America’s Past” that features The Forward’s treasured archives.
This special livestream event recognizes the 109th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in New York City. Join us to watch “The Fire of a Movement,” an episode about the infamous fire that killed 146 workers — nearly all young women, most of them teenage immigrants — and propelled the passage of workplace safety laws.
Watch the show with the directors and historians, and discuss how resilience and activism in the fire’s aftermath can inspire us during our own troubling times.
This Facebook Live will take place on March 25 at 8:00 p.m.

At a time when other newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall and invested additional resources to report on the ground from Israel and around the U.S. on the impact of the war, rising antisemitism and polarized discourse.
