January 21: Manhattan: View The Forward Archives
Join us at a special open house at the Museum at Eldridge Street for a chance to view its latest exhibition “Pressed: Images from the Jewish Daily Forward.”
On January 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., discover the treasured metal plates used to print images in the newspaper back in the day, along with actual prints made from the plates using traditional equipment. Forward archivist Chana Pollack, who was instrumental in the creation of “Pressed,” will give a short talk about her work preserving and unfolding The Forward’s history.
Come for a drink and stay for the fascinating history!
