Rafael Shimunov is the co-host of Beyond The Pale: Radio’s Home For The Jewish Left on WBAI 99.5 FM NY, and a Bukharian Jewish artist and activist from Queens, New York, where he, as a child, arrived with his parents as HIAS refugees from Uzbekistan. His work has included contributing to the Vote Ceasefire and Uncommitted ballot campaigns and raising money for Gaza with his Stop Genocide Joe project.
